We do not need a lot of stuff. When Jesus called his disciples and sent them out to preach in the nearby villages he told them not to take anything with them. Today we have a bad habit of doing a lot of things to start a church. We learn all this form the world. The church operates on a different principle than the world. You do not need to do any preparation for a home church.

Do you have a home? If you are married and raise a family, you should have home. The home is already there for you to start from. The home is where you start your home church. The spouse is your first member. Your children are other members. There you already have a place and members.

What else do you need? You need a bible and some song sheets or hymn books. There is absolutely no investment to start a house church. Just use what you have. What God requires you is first to learn from him. Remember the command of Jesus at the end his ministry and before ascension? He said go and preach, make disciples by teaching them all I have taught you. The best disciple is one who learns from the master.

Jesus warns us that if we do not obey his commands we are not his followers. Hearing and doing is his command. So we need to hear what God wants us to do as a new creature in Christ and then learn to do them.

The home church is the best place to practice the precepts of God. You know what to do from the home church bible study now go and practice them first in your home. What you heard is what you practice with your spouse and children and parents.

The most difficult place to live the Christan life is the home. The most difficult people to show the love of God is the family. God has challenged us to start with our families. If we are saved then let s how the love of a God in our daily living in our home.

The home church is going to reflect the love of God or the lack of it. Home is the place to test your waters.

This phase of practicing the Christian principles of loving and caring is the most difficult in your home. If you mastered the home practice then you are ready to be salt and light to the world.
